We had an awesome Easter! It was such an amazing experience to have children old enough to understand not just about the Easter Bunny, but more importantly-the true meaning of Easter- Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We talked a lot about it with our boys and I really think that Kaemon at least understood most of what he learned.
A few days before Easter we went to my parents' house and made Easter sugar eggs. We have been making these since I was a little girl and my mom even had some of the ones I had made when I was little! It was so fun to make them with our kids!
Kaemon designed his all by himself!
Eli was very involved!
The finished product:
The next night all the grandkids (except for Eliza) came over and we dyed Easter eggs! So much fun!
If you notice, Eli wanted all of his to be yellow, and even had to have the yellow tray. This boy is OBSESSED with "lellow".
We tried to switch the yellow for the green, he would put the eggs in there, realize it was not yellow, and take them out and put them in yellow.

Kaemon was very proud of his creations. I took this picture of him on the couch with his eggs at his request.
Easter Morning
The Easter Bunny hid the boys' baskets under the kitchen table on chairs. Kaemon found them right away, before we even had time to grab the camera to catch his shocked expression.
They are crazy about their new water bottles.
After finding and exploring their baskets, we headed to Rory's parents' house for traditional conference breakfast. Rory's mom spoiled us, as usual, with a bag of goodies and a movie, and buckets for each of the boys filled with toys, candy, treats, shoes, etc. I wish I had taken more pictures! Conference was amazing this year, it was just the pick-me-up I needed!
After breakfast, and between sessions, we headed over to my Granparents' house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.
My Grandma and Me
The boys played a lot of basketball
Kaemon, clearly proud of his loot. Eli was happy he got some lellow eggs.
The boys have loved the Leapster toys the Easter Bunny brought them! Here they are a few days later, enoying some gummy bunnies and playing with their new toys.
Oh, and one bit of exciting news, well for us at least. Our builder met with Rory last week to discuss what they were doing by our house. It turns out they will not be able to build directly behind us or to the east of us (our original lot). To the west of us, they will be buiding the road but they don't need so much land, so they are GIVING us some of it. They are evn going to move the fence for us for free to include our new 2,600 square feet. Another thing, is that they have to fence around the wetlands, so we wont need to pay for our fence, and we will never have a neighbor directly by us or behind us. Just a nice view of the golf course and maybe some more visits from these guys-
Anyway, we are pretty excited! We love it out here. I seriously wouldn't doubt it if we always live in Hooper!

Your Easter was awesome! Dang, it really is the Holidays that make living away from family hard. It's just not the same.
The sand and water table is fun, they just fight over it a lot, but what don't brothers fight over, right?
